REGISTRATION
The US OPEN is ‘open’ to ALL players. No qualifying events needed. You are eligible if you are a previous US OPEN gold, silver or bronze medalist, or if you just had fun trying! You have the chance to qualify if you have played in the US OPEN before, or if this will be your first experience. However, because of the high demand, we created the US OPEN Registration Lottery in 2019. It worked out great and took a lot of pressure off players trying to enter the minute registration opened.

General Registration Lottery Period
- You may register ANY time during the General Registration period. Priority IS NOT given according to when you register!
- You must be registered with a partner indicated before the lottery closes. You may initially sign up without a partner so that your name will be on the Players Needing Partners list in order for those players to find each other and edit their registration before the lottery closes
- Payment not required until confirmation email sent

If you withdraw before March 1st, you will be issued a full refund (with a $25 processing fee) without the need to purchase Registration Insurance. No refunds will be issued after March 1st for any reason, unless you have purchased the US OPEN Insurance Program.

Event Formats
ALL events (except for the new Mixed Pro Qualifying) will be run as double elimination with a consolation bracket. The consolation bracket will play for the bronze medal. The winner’s bracket will play for the gold and silver medals.
US OPEN Insurance Program
* Insurance must be purchased at time of registration.
If you withdraw before March 1st, 2024, you will be issued a full refund (with a $25 processing fee) without the need to purchase Registration Insurance. Registration Insurance covers you in the event you must cancel out of the event after the March 1st refund deadline. Registration Insurance will also cover your event fee in the case your event is cancelled due to weather. Please read the US OPEN Insurance Program.
The Lottery Selection Prioritization
First, Second and Final Considerations
The best odds to win a spot in the US OPEN is to play at your correct age event and your WPR/or self-rating for skill.
- Priority 1: Both players on the team have correct rating and correct age.
- Priority 2: One player on the team has correct rating and correct age.
- Priority 3: Neither player on the team has correct rating and correct age.

Need A Partner?
Before the Registration Lottery opens go to our US OPEN Player Connection page to find a partner.
Need A Sub?
If your partner cancels, email registration@usopenpickleball.com to add a new partner. You may choose a new partner who is not already registered in the US OPEN until April 1st. After April 1st, you must choose a sub from a player already registered in the US OPEN. Replacement players must be able to play in the same skill/age group that you have a spot in. Keep in mind, as your search for a replacement, that players may play down in age and up in skill. Replacements must be communicated to registration@usopenpickleball.com by 6 p.m. the day before your event is scheduled to play. Any request for replacements after 6 p.m. will be reviewed by the Tournament Director for approval. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list.
NEW! ZING ZANG CHAMPIONSHIP TICKET LOTTERY FEBRUARY 2–6, 2024
At this time, you do not need a ticket to be part of the US OPEN Experience. There is a nominal daily parking fee, and you may watch pros and amateurs play on 59 courts throughout the park for FREE! You may also roam and shop in the US OPEN Expo tents, enjoy great food and a cool beverage in the beer garden, while listening to live music each afternoon.
To purchase tickets to watch matches on the famous Zing Zang Championship Court, you will need to enter the TICKET LOTTERY, February 2–6, 2024.
